Transfer of your money-services business file to Revenu Québec

Due to the passage of Bill 41 This link will open in a new window, your money-services business file, along with all the responsibilities currently exercised by the AMF under the Money-Services Businesses Act (the “Act”), will be transferred to Revenu Québec effective September 13, 2021..

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) will continue to apply the Act until that time.

Applications submitted between now and September 13, 2021

In order that all files can be transferred between now and September 13, 2021, access to certain features and functions in AMF E-Services will be restricted as of August 14, 2021.

For businesses registered for AMF E-Services

From June 7 through August 13, 2021, all applications and requests can be made through AMF E-Services. There is no change.

August 14 through September 13, 2021:

  • Secure Message Inbox
  • Contact information and preferences
  • Follow up on applications/requests
  • Statement of account
  • Reports
  • Manage business relationships

  • In View mode or for changes

However, “Manage business relations” will be:

  • In View mode only

To make changes to your business relationships, you must notify the AMF beforehand by e-mail. We will contact you within 48 hours.

Effective September 13, 2021, the Money-Services Businesses Act (MSBA) will be administered by Revenu Québec. In the intervening period, the AMF will continue to regulate automatic teller machine operators.
