Judgment revoked - Nathalie Beckers to be re-tried

Insurance Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders

Montréal - On April 21, 2016, Justice of the Peace Jean-Georges Laliberté of the Court of Québec, district of Saint-Jérôme, granted Nathalie Beckers' application for revocation of a judgment. Ms. Beckers will be re-tried on January 30, 2017.

The previous judgment, which was handed down by Justice Laliberté on June 16, 2015, was revoked because the hearing took place in the defendant's absence.

The AMF claims that Ms. Beckers, a former representative in insurance of persons, made misrepresentations to her client's mandatary, pursued illegal activities as a representative in insurance of persons while she was temporarily struck off the roll by the Chambre de la sécurité financière and, on three occasions, contravened the trading instructions of her client or her mandataries.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
