The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published for a 150-day comment period Consultation Paper 81-408 – Consultation on the Option of Discontinuing Embedded Commissions, as well as a backgrounder presenting the paper’s key issues.

The main objective of this consultation is to conduct an in-depth review, in collaboration with industry stakeholders, of the potential impacts of such an option in Canada. Throughout the comment period, the AMF will consider the comments and observations of the various stakeholders in Québec and foster an open dialogue.
