The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is proud to announce the Canada-wide expansion of the Complaint Reporting System (CRS). As of July 1, 2009, CRS, launched in 2005 by the AMF and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), will be accessible to the Canadian insurance industry. Over the past year, the regulatory authorities of Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador and the Yukon entered into an agreement with Québec and Ontario for the use of CRS as a complaint reporting tool in their respective jurisdictions.
