AMF seeks $570,000 fine against Paquerette Pelletier

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has launched penal proceedings against Paquerette Pelletier before the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division) in the district of Québec City.

The AMF filed 38 counts against Paquerette Pelletier for making illegal distributions of securities without obtaining a receipt for a prospectus from the AMF in accordance with section 11 of the Securities Act and without being registered with the AMF as a securities dealer or adviser, thereby violating section 148 of the Securities Act.

The AMF is seeking a total fine in the amount of $570,000 for the 38 accusations.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
