AMF launches proceeding against Jean-Yves Leroux

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has launched a penal proceeding against Jean-Yves Leroux in the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division).

The AMF has filed three charges against Mr. Leroux for violating section 11 of the Securities Act (R.S.Q. c. V-1.1) by:

  • proceeding with the distribution of securities without a prospectus approved by the AMF, namely, a debt instrument in the amount of $2,000 to an investor (one charge).
  • assisting Luxore Bioscience inc., by act or omission, with the distribution of securities without a prospectus approved by the AMF, namely, a debt instrument in the amount of $15,000 and another of $10,000 to two investors (two charges).

The AMF is seeking a fine in the amount of $15,000.
