Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) deposited an inscription on July 11, 2008 in the Québec Court of Appeal regarding the decision handed down by Judge Jacques R. Fournier of the Superior Court of Québec on May 16, 2008 whereby the motion for contempt of court filed by the AMF in August 2007 in respect Earl Matthews and Reyanne Briand was dismissed.

The AMF is asking the Court of Appeal to overturn the decision and find Earl Matthews and Reyanne Briand guilty of contempt of court for violating the decision issued by the Bureau de décision et de révision en valeurs mobilières (BDRVM) on May 4, 2007 whereby they were prohibited from carrying out any transaction in securities, including via their website. The cease trade order by the BDRVM was issued against Earl Matthews, Reyanne Briand, G.I.S.P. Aideauxfamilles.com and G.I.S.P. Aid4families.com.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for the Québec financial sector.
