Marie-Claude Soucy Vice-president, Finance, Talent and Technology

Marie-Claude Soucy has been Vice-President, Finance, Talent and Technology at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) since August 2015. She also acted as interim President and CEO during the summer of 2023.

To perform her duties, Ms. Soucy leverages more than 25 years of business management experience. As Vice-President, Finance, Talent and Technology, Ms. Soucy supervises the activities of four administrative units: the Direction principale, finances et administration (finance and administration); the Direction principale, talents et culture (talent and culture); the Direction principale des technologies de l’information (information technology); and the Bureau de projets d’entreprise (project management office).

Nationally, Ms. Soucy chairs the System Governance Committee and is a member of the Executive Directors’ Committee of the Canadian Securities Administrators.

Prior to joining the AMF, Ms. Soucy was Vice-President, Finance, Administration and Treasury at Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT). She also worked for more than 13 years at Rona, where she held several senior management positions, including Vice-President, Business Projects and Planning.

Her areas of expertise include finance, accounting, risk management, continuous improvement, procurement, property management, project office management, information technology, human resources management and internal communications.

Ms. Soucy is a graduate of the École des hautes études commerciales (Paris) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sherbrooke University. She is also a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA) and the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA). She holds the designation of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) as well as the designation of Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC), which she earned upon completing the university certification program in corporate governance offered by the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés du Québec.

Ms. Soucy represents the AMF on the boards of the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche en analyse des organisations (CIRANO) and the Institut canadien des dérivés (ICD) and is also a member of the Board of the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM) Foundation.
