Marie-Claude Soucy joined the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in August 2015 as Vice-President, Administrative Services.

Ms. Soucy’s mandate consists of supervising the activities of four AMF units so as to achieve the organization’s vision for its resources and administrative services.

AMF Administration provides effective and proactive support for the organization’s activities, implements efficient and innovative business and management processes, and ensures the quality of goods and services offered to clients. Its work includes budget and invoice management.

Information Technologies manages the AMF’s computer networks and ensures optimal operation of its systems.

Project Governance and Oversight works with project teams and advises the AMF’s Executive Committee on prioritizing the organization’s project portfolio. It sets out the AMF’s comprehensive vision for projects and investments and ensures accountability.

Human Resources provides services related to recruitment, remuneration, employee benefits, training, organizational development, labour relations and change management.

At the national level, Ms. Soucy is a member of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) Executive Directors’ Committee.

Prior to joining the AMF, Ms. Soucy was Vice-President, Finance, Administration and Treasury at Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT). She also worked for more than 13 years at Rona, where she held several executive positions, including Vice-President, Business Projects and Planning.

As part of her functions, Ms. Soucy leverages over 20 years of experience in business management. Her areas of expertise include accounting, finance, information technology, strategic planning, post-acquisition integration, project portfolio management, business process review, risk management, governance, internal controls and change management.

Ms. Soucy is a graduate of the École des hautes études commerciales (Paris) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Sherbrooke University. She is also a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and sits on the board of directors of Protégez-vous.
