Anne-Marie Beaudoin has headed the Corporate Secretariat of the Autorité des marchés financiers (“AMF”) since its establishment in 2004.

As part of her functions, Ms. Beaudoin oversees the AMF's governance framework. She ensures the proper functioning of AMF decision-making bodies, in particular by ensuring the integrity of the decisional process. In addition, she is responsible for the development and monitoring of the AMF's strategic plan and annual activities plans, and also supports the work of the Advisory Board and the Executive Committee.

As the officer responsible for access to information, the protection of personal information held by the AMF and information security, Ms. Beaudoin ensures the application of the code of ethics and professional conduct governing AMF staff members. She also oversees the public consultation process and the examination of complaints regarding the AMF.

After having worked in the legal departments of various organizations as well as in her own private practice, Ms. Beaudoin took up a post in 1989 at the Association des intermédiaires en assurance de personnes du Québec, which was succeeded by the Chambre de la sécurité financière. During her tenure, she served successively as director of legal affairs, director of professional services, senior advisor to executive management, and interim executive director and corporate secretary. She held the position of corporate secretary at the Bureau des services financiers in February 1999 until its merger with the AMF in February 2004.

Ms. Beaudoin has been a member of the Québec Bar since 1983. She earned a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Montréal and holds the designation of Certified Corporate Director (CCD).
