Qualification requirements for representatives already certified in Québec who want to add a sector or sector class to their certificates vary according to the sector or sector class to be added.

Insurance of Persons and Group Insurance of persons (LLQP)

The qualification requirements for representatives who are already certified in Québec vary according to their certification dates. Detailed below are the requirements for representatives certified before January 2016 and those certified after January 1, 2016 who wish to add a class or sector class to their certificates. Information about the required training, the examinations and the probationary period is presented below for each sector and sector class:

Damage insurance and Claims adjustment

Representatives certified in Insurance of persons or Group insurance of persons who wish to add the damage insurance or claims adjustment sector or any of their sector classes to their certificates will find the information about the qualification requirements for these sectors on the following pages:

Representatives certified in a damage insurance or claims adjustment sector class may be exempt from the prescribed minimum qualifications if they held, for at least one year, a certificate in that sector class that was issued or renewed after October 1, 2002.

Representatives certified in a damage insurance or claims adjustment sector class may be exempt from the examinations they have already passed for the purpose of acting in another sector class. Below are the examinations required for each sector class.
